Beauty 101: Hydration Treatments for the Cold Winter

Hydration is a key component of any health and beauty regimen, but when you’re busy at this time of year, it’s all too easy to forget about drinking the recommended eight glasses of water of day.

Dry, scaly and/or itchy skin seems to be synonymous with winter. Low humidity can be a major culprit, but it is possible that low levels of vitamins A, C and B complex are to blame.
Take lot's of fluids, water, tea, and orange juice, stick it to your routine.

One of the most comforting things to do when you have a chill is to take a hot bath or shower. While warm water is comforting and good for the skin, water that is too hot will strip your skin of its moisture and leave your skin feeling dry. Also, be careful of how much you exfoliate, sometimes we mistake dry skin for dead skin and when your skin is already dry you don’t want to strip it raw. Exfoliating once a week should suffice. Excessive heat in your house or car will also dry your skin out, so lower that heat a few notches and put on an extra sweater.
