Mini Tips: Make Small Nails Appear Larger

If you have short or narrow nails, clear nail polish sometimes only makes your nails appear small. A darker nail polish will make them seem narrower, and hence longer.
For those of you with very small nails, using a nail polish with a metallic color can make them appear larger.

Eye Care Tips

Sparkling, beautiful eyes are the best assets a woman can have. Do take time to cater to the special care that eyes need regularly.

Eat enough of Vitamin A and C. Take special care in the choice of eye make-up. Don't use make-up that can irritate and harm the eyes. Avoid spending too much time in smoky rooms and don't neglect a check-up on a regular basis.

Tip 1:

Soak 1 tspn dry Gooseberry powder in a cup of water overnight. Strain this in the morning and add 1 cup of plain water to this. Splash the eyes with this or wash them with the help of an eyecup.

Tip 2:

Dip a pad of cotton wool in some Rose water to which 2-3 drops of Castor oil is added. Place these soaked pads on the eyelids and relax for 15-20 minutes.

Beauty Lessons: What's the Difference Between Serum and Moisturizer?

While serums can deliver moisturizer, most serums are prescribed to deliver vitamins, nutrients, or anti-oxidants into deeper layers of your skin where a regular moisturizer might not be able to reach. The molecular structure of serums is smaller than a moisturizer and therefore can easily penetrate the top layers of the skin for a more profound result. Serums are often used for exfoliation or to deliver important vitamins to our skin.

Moisturizers protect your skin from environmental damage and maintain the moisture balance within the skin. The larger molecular makeup of a moisturizer means it cannot penetrate the skin as far as a serum can, however, moisturizers are excellent for depositing moisture on the top layer of your skin and maintaining a balance of hydration.

Beauty Tips: Instant Recovery for Chapped Lips!

Do you have dry and chapped lips? Wanna have the sexiest lips this spring? Here is some great advice:

  • Use a regular toothbrush to gently exfoliate dead, dry skin off your lips. Place toothbrush on lips and gently massage in a circular motion.

  • Pat dry and then apply lip balm.

  • Avoid licking your lips. Saliva evaporates quickly and digests the thin membrane protecting lips, leaving lips drier than before you licked them.

  • Smoking will constantly evaporate any natural oils on the lips.

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Dehydration typically results in chapped lips.

Tip: Easy Steps to Cleaning Your Makeup Brush

First, make sure to Spray with brush cleaner weekly. Once a week, spritz the bristles of your makeup brush, making sure to dampen both sides if the brush is flat. Wipe a clean cloth with the moistened brush until the brush comes clean.

Rinse the brush by swirling in a bowl of clean warm water. Use a cloth to wipe the brush clean; then lay it flat on a cloth to dry.

5 Musts About Wearing Mascara

1. Never, ever pump the wand - this adds air to the mascara container, which will only make your mascara dry out faster.
2. As a general rule, brown or soft black are best for daytime; black works best for night.
3. Use less mascara on lower lashes than on top lashes. Or forgo mascara on lower lashes for a more casual look.
4. If your mascara smells funny or is more than six months old, chuck it. The eyes are very sensitive to bacteria.
5. After you've coated lashes with mascara, add just one more layer to the outer corners. The extra coat will make your lashes look especially long.

Beauty Tips to Look Perfect When Stressed

AVOID PROCESSED FOODS. It is now public knowledge that processed foods have high levels of chemical additives which are poisonous to our body. We should eat more fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants to help reduce stress, delay aging, and increase immunity of our body.

Some of fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants are blueberries, tomatoes, carrots, and broccoli. Oranges and grapefruits are good sources of vitamin C. Magnesium, a mineral that fights stress, is often found in whole-grain products (oatmeal, popcorn, brown rice, whole-wheat flour, sprouted grains, whole-grain pasta, and whole-wheat bread), beets, and raisins. Bananas and avocados are loaded with potassium, a mineral known to preserve smoothness of skin. Yogurt also helps lower blood pressure.

Formulated vitamin and mineral supplements assure regular intake of required daily dose of vitamins C, E, A, K, and B complex that our body needs to stay active and young.

ENRICH THE MIND. Reading good books keeps the mind alert and dynamic. Watching movies or plays and engaging in conversation with people also maintain brain agility. A busy mind never gets bored. With the absence of boredom, discontentment and unhappiness will have no place to set in. And wrinkles will be absent, too.

FIGHT STRESS. Stress is caused by both negative and positive events in life: a sudden unemployed stage or a happy birthday party. Some of the symptoms of stress are: headache, sleep disorder, and depression. Stress can be managed through: exercise, relaxation and a healthy diet rich in magnesium. Enough sleep is as important as activity and food.

Here are some ways of getting to sleep fast:
1. avoid food (or snack) and caffeine intake before bedtime (coffee, tea, or chocolate),
2. no more physical exertion when sleeping time is near, and
3. take a warm shower and listen to slow music with eyes closed.

Here's how to relax: spread your full length on the bed and think of nothing. Imagine you're just floating in space.

Skin and Water

great-skin-bear296

There are few things as important for your skin as water.

Whenever your body becomes dehydrated it draws on its water reservoirs, one of which being your skin, and sucks out all the moisture it can find.

The resulting dry skin, not only looks unattractive but it also speeds up the appearance of wrinkles and other age-related skin deterioration.

Although it's crucial to drink plenty water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside, it's also vital to give it a helping hand on the outside as well.

A good moisturiser not only adds essential moisture to your skin but it also acts as a barrier to prevent moisture from escaping.

Healthy and Beautiful Nails?

imagesdg

In order to keep the nails as clean and shine, as in a good shape, try by using some oils
and lemon. This will moisturize and leave them clean and smooth.

For strengthening the nails drink fresh carrot juice daily as they are high in calcium and phosphorus.
Also Jelly will make them really strong and will let them grow more quick and healthy!

Stay away from artificial nails as much as possible. Apart from destroying the underlying nail with their chemicals and glue, they might also lead to fungal infection of the fingernails.

If you are suffering from the problem of hangnails, it is advisable to eat food rich in protein, vitamin C and folic acid.

Ensure that half of your diet is made up of fresh fruits and raw vegetables. This will supple your nails with the required vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

Supplementing your diet with spirulina and kelp will help make your nails strong and healthy.

HOW TO: Get Your Foundation Right

img_intro 1. Moisturise first - applying moisturiser after cleansing but before you reach for your foundation ensures the make-up has a soft, smooth surface to bind to. 2. Don't forget your neck. It's a make up mistakes to have two tones for face and neck caused by stopping your make up at your chin. So always apply a little foundation under the chin and down the upper neck, blending it away as you go down. 3. Enhance, don't disguise. The purpose of foundation is to enhance the natural skin not cover it completely. So use as little foundation as possible to ensure you look like you, not your circus going twin (a white faced clown, in case you didn't get it).

Stress, Beauty and Skin Affects

Stress affects beauty through skin condition worries such as blemishes as well as the loss of moisture, which occurs more rapidly when under stress. Dryness of the skin can create more fine line/wrinkles appearance and causes the skin to look dull and aged. Creating a skin care regimen can help fight stressed skin worries. It is important to wash and cleanse the skin with a mild cleanser that is appropriate for ones skin type (oily, dry or normal). Apply a daily moisturizer with sunscreen in the morning and a heavier cream or facial lotion at night. There are a number of products now that contain antioxidants that can combat stress effects by protecting the skin from free radicals. Dermatologists suggest not only using a skin care regimen for the outside of the skin but a healthy diet to nourish from within.
