Style Star: Taylor Swift

We absolutely love Taylor Swift's hair at this week's People's Choice Awards. The pretty, curly up-do frames her face fantastically, and the braids in back make the look even more interesting. Paired with a pretty coral lip and a gorgeous soft pink frock, the entire look is spot on!

Nicole Kidman Covers Harper's Bazaar

Nicole Kidman is Harper's Bazaar's February cover girl. Inside the issue which hit stands on January 18th, Kidman talks about motherhood, husband Keith Urban and on moving to Nashville.

On meeting Keith Urban: "I remember thinking, Oh, my God, if you ever gave me a man like that, I promise I would be completely devoted for the rest of my life. Something that wild. I remembered praying after I met him that I'd meet somebody, if not him, like him."

On motherhood: "I had kids at 25 and 27 [Isabella and Connor, Nicole's adopted children with first husband Tom Cruise].. I think I have more patience now but less physical energy. It's a trade-off: In your 20s, you're bounding around, they're attached at your hip, and you can just go and do anything. But I'm much more of a homebody now. My roots are deeper."

On moving to Nashville: "I love living a ways away. That's what I've worked for in my career, to not have to live in Los Angeles. So it was fortuitous that Keith happened to live in Tennessee. He brought me down to this place called Leipers Fork, just outside of Nashville, very lush and rural. I just went aaah. You know how you dream as a girl; I'm one of those people. I would meet a guy, then I would imagine myself married and with kids within the first hour. [Laughs] But it worked out."

Kim Kardashian Covers Glamour

Glamour Magazine's Guy Issue is almost here and features reality star beauty Kim Kardashian! Photographed on her thirtieth birthday in New York City by Terry Tsiolis, Kim wears Tom Ford pajamas, a La Perla bra and a Sarah Chloe ring. Also featured in the spread are a fab Dolce & Gabbana bustier and skirt, a Glamour horseshoe charm necklace, and a beautiful Marc Jacobs dress. Check out the full photo spread here <http://www.glamour.com/fashion/2011/01/kim-kardashian-cover-shoot-photo-gallery> .

If you don't want to buy a physical copy of the mag, no worries! It's also available on the Glamour app (iPhone, iPad and iTouch), the new B&N Nook Color and newsstands nationwide on January 11. Need more reason to get excited. As of yesterday , @glamourdotcom tweeted a pic of Kim’s cover. Retweet @glamourdotcom’s daily February cover tweet for your chance to win the necklace AND a copy of Kardashian Konfidential, autographed by Kim herself. A new winner will be drawn at random every day. The sweepstakes ends January 10, 2011, at 11:59 P.M. See rules at glamour.com/contest for details.

The people at Glamour were also nice enough to share with us a sneak peak of Kim's Q&A below! :

On her success…
“I’d be foolish not to take some of these opportunities that are coming my way. We all know this can go away at any moment.”

On her sisters…
“We work really hard, and we fight like normal sisters fight, and we make up. We’re so supportive of each other. We always stick together. Having lots of siblings is like having built-in best friends.”

On dating…
“It’s easier to just be single and not have a relationship. How do you get to know someone on a reality show? Some people think that they can handle it, and then they really can’t.”

On being a sex symbol…
“It’s definitely powerful. I don’t find myself as sexy as everyone thinks. I’m a lot more insecure than people would assume, but with little stupid things. When I get dressed, I’m always so indecisive.”

On being in Playboy
“It was an independence thing for me. I was always by the book, such the straight arrow when it came to pleasing my parents and being a good daughter. I felt like this was one decision that only I could make. And I think it looks great. I’ll have those pictures forever.”

On having every aspect of her family’s life recorded…
“If there’s something that we’re going through, it’s going to get out anyway. It’ll be on the cover of a tabloid, and it’ll be twisted the completely wrong way. So why not tell our story?”

On women being comfortable with their body…
“It’s a process. You have to learn to accept it. You have to learn to like what you see in the mirror. There are definitely times when I don’t feel like myself, but you have to fake it until you make it.”

On what she thought she’d be doing at 30…
“If you had asked me five years ago what I would be doing at 30, I would have said, ‘Married with a kid or two.’ Not in a million years did I dream that I would be doing all the things that I’m doing.”

Best Tressed for 2011

Wondering what styles will be big in 2011? Stylist Roy Teeluck shares his picks for the three hottest looks of the new year.

PIXIE STICKS

Even though we spent the past few months whipping our hair back and forth, Emma Watson, Carey Mulligan, and The Biebs chopped it all off making 2010 the unofficial year of the pixie. Roy says, "A pixie is a great way to show off your face and is very low maintenance style-wise."
SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING BOB

A bob is a fantastic way to take your hair from drab to fab. By creating a blunt layer (or indie layers in ScarJo's case), you showcase those cheekbones and instantly create a timeless look. Roy (who personally styles Hillary Clinton and Olivia Palermo) says that leaving the sides a little longer makes for a modern version that softens the hard edge of a classic bob.

THE TAMING OF THE DO

For long haired glamour girls, 2010 was all about change. Taylor Swift broke up with her signature curls and started rocking blunt bangs and a pin-straight look. Model Lily Aldridge got on the Balayage bandwagon and warmed up her brown hair with some golden highlights. Emma Stone ditched her red hair and officially became a California blonde.
